Catholic Charities is honored to receive support from one of Colorado’s most recognizable and generous business leaders — Jake Jabs. Jake, the legendary founder and president of American Furniture Warehouse, has donated $10,000 to support the thousands of individuals and families who rely on our programs each year.
Jake’s name has long been synonymous with Colorado entrepreneurship and hard work. Since launching American Furniture Warehouse in 1975, he has built one of the most successful and trusted furniture brands in the region, all while maintaining a deep commitment to the people and communities that helped make it possible. His commercials, complete with his trademark energy and exotic animals, became a staple in Colorado homes. Behind the success of the organization is a man with a genuine passion for helping others.
Jake brought that same warmth and charisma to his visit with our Catholic Charities’ team, where he met with staff, shared stories and spoke from the heart about why giving back matters to him. “I am not Catholic but I know that Catholics do good work,.” he shared.
His donation is going directly toward our frontline efforts: providing food, shelter, early childhood education, housing assistance, family support services and more. Whether it’s helping a mother and child escape homelessness, providing diapers to families in need or walking with seniors through affordable housing and community programs, Jake’s gift will touch lives across all corners of our agency.
