Samaritan House held an event for participants and staff in honor of Juneteenth, a federal holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the U.S. Everyone enjoyed a barbecue lunch and ice cream, yard games, arts and crafts and a friendly visit by the Denver Police Department’s mounted patrol unit.
