Donation Drives

DONATION DRIVES

GET INVOLVED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OUR NEIGHBORS.

women's care project

Unlike a winter coat or sturdy shoes, our clients regularly need new undergarments to retain the dignity we all deserve. They also need new hygiene items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and soap to stay healthy and feel great about their next chapter in life. You can help!

  • ORGANIZE A DRIVE: Gather folks from your family, parish, high school or business and organize a drive.
  • GRAB A FEW NEW ITEMS: Next time you're at the store, purchase a pair of women's underwear, bras, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo or soap and head over to Samaritan House on Lawrence Street to drop off.
  • $$ DONATIONS WELCOME: Donate to the Women's Care Project. We will take the funds and use them to purchase new undergarments or hygiene items in the sizes most needed at the time.

Remember, we do need new items, still in the packaging

Support for Men and Families

We also welcome hygiene items for the men and families who call Samaritan House home. Every contribution helps our neighbors feel clean, comfortable and cared for—and that includes the kids! Child-sized toothbrushes, toothpaste and underwear are always appreciated.

DIAPER DRIVES

The Bottom Line Diaper Bank supports Colorado families in need of diapers for infants, toddlers and incontinent adults. We support thousands of Coloradans through our Catholic Charities ministries and raise awareness about how access to diapers impacts families across Northern Colorado.

Each year, we conduct both Lenten and Fall Diaper Drives in the spring and fall and are grateful for diaper donations anytime throughout the year. Call 720.454.3795 for more information or contact us at nhung.nielsen@gmail.com.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES COZY COMPANION DRIVE

When children arrive at Samaritan House, they are usually tired, overwhelmed and a bit frightened. We've discovered that encouraging them to choose and keep a stuffed animal significantly reduces their stress and offers them an instant source of comfort. Can you help?

Donate new or gently used and clean stuffed animals at the Samaritan House warehouse at 2301 Lawrence Street in Denver - M-F between 9am-4pm and from 9am-1pm on the weekend.

If you would like to organize a Cozy Companion Drive in your parish, school or neighborhood, please contact parish@ccdenver.org and we'll make it easy to get started.

catholic charities school supply drive

Working with parishes, businesses, school groups and ecumenical partners, we supplied more than 1,050 students with fully-equipped backpacks to start the school year. Each year, our Catholic Charities' team members identify students who need some help getting all of their supplies, and we work with them directly to make sure every child has just what she needs to be successful. If you'd like to get involved in next year's drive, please contact us at parish@ccdenver.org.

adopt-a-family

The Catholic Charities' Adopt-A-Family program has been helping the Colorado community for nearly 30 years, matching compassionate donors like you with families and individuals who need some extra help this holiday season.

Thanks to our generous community, we are able to provide holiday gifts to children, families and seniors who otherwise would have none. Recipient families receive services through Catholic Charities ministries and are nominated by the Catholic Charities team who work with them on a regular basis. Our website opens up on November 1 of each year and closes about a week before Adopt-A-Family week, usually the first week of December. To learn more about the program, email aaf@ccdenver.org.
