Hope in Five Points

Over 100 years ago, a quiet, relentless woman named Julia Greeley walked the streets and neighborhoods of Denver, pulling a red wagon and offering hope by serving food and supplies to those in need. Today, that same spirit of hope lives on—not through a red wagon but through the Marisol Health Mobile Clinic, offering vulnerable women dignity, support and most importantly LIFE.

The Marisol Health Mobile Clinic is a state-of-the-art medical clinic on wheels, bringing essential women’s health services directly into neighborhoods where access to care can be limited. Staffed by trained medical professionals, it provides a safe and welcoming space for women to receive care, ask questions and explore their options without cost or pressure.

In partnership with Save the Storks, the Marisol Health Mobile now parks in front of Sacred Heart Catholic Church—the very church Julia once attended. While the Five Points neighborhood has grown and changed over time, the need for compassionate, accessible care remains quiet, real and often unseen. From this familiar corner, the clinic offers free pregnancy tests, first trimester ultrasounds and referrals for social services.

One morning in early March, a woman walking her dog noticed the words on the side of the vehicle: Ultrasound on Board. Having recently lost her job and her insurance, she suspected she might be unexpectedly pregnant and felt overwhelmed by uncertainty. In that moment, she made the decision to stop and see if the Mobile Clinic could help.

Inside, she was met by compassionate staff who listened to her story, confirmed her pregnancy and provided resources and guidance. Because she was still early in her pregnancy, she scheduled a follow-up appointment at Marisol Health Denver. At that visit, she shared through tears how she believed God had led her to Marisol Health Mobile at exactly the right moment, giving her hope when she had none. Today, she and her fiancée are joyfully preparing to welcome their baby this summer.

That March morning, the Marisol Health Mobile offered more than medical services—it brought light into a moment of darkness and hope into a time of uncertainty. Just as Julia Greeley once met people where they were, that same mission continues today through Marisol Health Mobile, one quiet encounter at a time.
