Catholic Charities’ Marisol Health Mobile is taking life-affirming care directly into neighborhoods, college campuses, workplaces and community events across Northern Colorado. This mobile clinic brings support, guidance and compassion to women who may feel alone, scared or uncertain, offering a tangible presence of hope and accompaniment where it is most needed.
Equipped with advanced ultrasound technology, pregnancy testing and staffed by licensed professionals and advocates, the mobile clinic will offer a full range of services, including mental health support, counseling and referrals to social services and ongoing medical care. The launch coincides with Respect Life Month and honors the legacy of the late Dr. Francis Smith, a devoted pro-life advocate whose dream of bringing a mobile medical unit to Denver has now been fulfilled.
“Catholic Charities is thrilled to announce that the Marisol Health Mobile is up and running, bringing free, life-affirming healthcare directly to underserved communities in Denver and Aurora,” said Darren Walsh, President and CEO of Catholic Charities. “We’re excited to see the difference this mobile unit will make as it serves weekly in the Five Points area, Central Aurora and at our Little Flower Assistance Center, supporting families when they need it most.”
Staffed by professionals and trained advocates, Marisol Mobile provides free pregnancy testing, first-trimester ultrasounds, counseling and connections to the broader Marisol and Catholic Charities network. By meeting women where they are, the clinic ensures that support is accessible, personal and rooted in dignity and care.
The launch of Marisol Mobile has been met with excitement from local communities. Students, parents and parishioners alike have toured the unit, learning about the services and discovering new ways to support women and families.
“The Mobile allows us to meet women right where they are — providing compassion, support and hope,” said Teresa Gomez, program director for Marisol Health Mobile. “Our mission is to reach the one woman who feels alone and bring her the resources, encouragement and guidance she needs to choose life.”
By combining care, spiritual accompaniment and practical resources, Marisol Mobile demonstrates that every woman and child matters and that help is available without judgment.
Marisol Health is one of the many ministries of Catholic Charities, the charitable arm of the Archdiocese of Denver. Guided by its mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ to the poor and those in need, Catholic Charities provides a wide range of services across Colorado, including housing and shelter, food assistance, early childhood education, counseling, immigration services and emergency support. Other ministries include Marisol Family, Marisol Counseling, Marisol Homes, Samaritan House, Catholic Charities Housing, St. Raphael Counseling, and the Little Flower Assistance Center. Through these programs that serve neighbors from Fort Collins to Fort Lupton, Glenwood Springs to Greeley, Catholic Charities serves individuals and families with faith, integrity and love.
Amid a culture where many women face difficult and complex decisions, the Marisol Health Mobile carries forward the mission of prayer, witness and accompaniment in innovative and accessible ways. “Our work is rooted in the Gospel,” Gomez explained. “We go into neighborhoods, workplaces and schools to offer real support, a listening ear and the hope of Christ to those who need it most.”
