Staff participate in Share the Journey campaign for migrants
Catholic Charities of Denver staff completed the first registered walk in Colorado as part of the Share the Journey campaign initiated by Pope Francis.
Staff participated in the two-year campaign that encourages people around the world to hold events in support of migrants and refugees, ending with a global walking campaign to show solidarity with displaced peoples. In Colorado, a group met at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge on Oct. 24 for breakfast followed by a walk around Lake Mary and meditation over the modern immigrant plight. Participants received a pamphlet of information about people who have received immigration services through Catholic Charities. Read more.
