In gratitude, grandmother returns to Little Flower and gives back

About 6 months ago, Joan came to Little Flower Assistance Center when her shelves were running empty. “It was a great time in need,” she shared outside the food bank in Aurora.

Now she returned with a car packed with children's clothes and surplus food to donate. Little Flower provides clothing, nutritious food and resources for families and seniors in the Aurora and Denver area.

Today, Joan stays busy with her job in the medical field and takes care of her 11-year-old and 8-year-old grandchildren. She likes to follow the golden rule to treat others the way you wish to be treated.

“I just wanted to come and give back,” she shared.

She encourages anyone to give to Little Flower, which provides shelf-stable food and resources for free.

Little Flower also provides budgeting assistance, employment search support, senior food assistance, a joy drive and more referrals and resources. They are open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Learn more at https://ccdenver.org/parish-community-relations/the-little-flower.
