Substance-abuse program, expanded school counseling added to services
Sacred Heart Counseling, formerly Regina Caeli Clinical Services, celebrated the opening of its new location in Englewood.
Donors, supporters and staff attended the opening on October 25 at 750 W. Hampden Ave., Suite 415. Larry Smith, Catholic Charities President and CEO, and Linda Montagna, Psy.D., Executive Director of Sacred Heart Counseling, addressed and thanked the crowd.
Sacred Heart Counseling was renamed after the Sacred Heart of Jesus to more closely reflect its mission of faith, hope and healing. “Nowhere can we find a more abundant and efficacious source of inspiration, strength and guidance for the care of those entrusted to us than the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,” Montagna said in a letter announcing the name change.
Founded in 2011, the clinic serves a variety of clientele in need of counseling services, including clinical counseling to individuals, married couples, and families, comprising post-abortive counseling; school counseling at archdiocesan schools; and psychological assessment.
Sacred Heart Counseling recently added a substance-abuse program to help treat clients with both mental health and substance-abuse issues. In addition to the Englewood office, Sacred Heart also serves clients at locations in Denver, Northglenn, Arvada, Boulder, Loveland and Fort Collins.
