Sara Lugo is the Director of Marisol Health Denver East. Sara previously was the Intensive Case Management Supervisor of the GPD Veterans Program at Samaritan House, a position she has held since 2015 and where she has also worked as a client services case manager.
In addition to her work with vulnerable individuals and families experiencing homelessness at Samaritan House and in St. Petersburg, Fla., Sara also brings experience working as a medical social worker on a multidisciplinary team with children and families at the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City and as a counselor with the Benedictine College Counseling Services. Sara holds a master’s degree in social work and is a Licensed Social Worker with the State of Colorado. Sara is passionate about working with vulnerable women and their families and about the Marisol model of providing life-affirming medical and behavioral health care and social services within a well-connected continuum of care.
