What is the Child Care Contribution Credit?
This credit seeks to increase the quality and availability of child care in metro Denver. The state of Colorado allows you to take a 50% tax credit on your state income taxes when you donate to Catholic Charities’ Early Childhood Education programs.
The preferred minimum donation is $300.

Real Cost of Giving – The Colorado Child Care Tax Credit allows a large part of your donation to come back to you in various tax credits and deductions. This can significantly reduce the after tax cost of your donation.
For more information on taxes, visit the Colorado Department of Revenue website and review their “FYI Income 35” publication. Please consult your accountant or tax specialist regarding your unique tax situation.
- Your donation still qualifies as a charitable deduction on your Federal income tax.
- Donation must be made as a single gift, paid in full via check, cash, credit card, direct bill or electronic funds transfer.
- You can take advantage of the tax credits regardless of whether you itemize or not.
- Both individuals and corporate donors can benefit from this tax credit program.
- In-kind donations are not eligible for this credit.
