Benefits
Eligibility. Catholic Charities offers employees regularly scheduled to work 30 hours a week or more a comprehensive health insurance package, including PPO medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending account. These benefits start the first day of the month after the first day of employment.

Prescriptions. Catholic Charities offers a three-tiered drug plan. OptumRx 1-800-207-3172
Dental. We offer dental coverage through Guardian Dental. Preventative services are covered under all three plans and all plans will cover up to 4 cleanings per year. Guardian. 1-800-541-7846 or https://www.guardianlife.com/.
Vision. Employees are offered vision insurance offered through VSP. This plan allows an annual exam for $15. Additionally, participants can receive lenses every 12 months and frames every 24 months. Contact lenses covered in lieu of frames and lenses. VSP: 1-800-877-7195 or www.vsp.com
Flexible Spending Accounts. These plans allow employees to set-up pre-tax deductions for out-of-pocket expenses for health or dependent care charges. The annual maximum amount for health reimbursement is adjusted annually per the IRS guidelines. UMR. 1-800-207-3172
Life and Accidental Death. Our Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment policy provides a $50,000 life benefit. This benefit is 100% Agency paid.
Short and Long Term Disability. ST disability insurance provides income protection in the event of disability. These benefits are 100% Agency paid.
St. Raphael Counseling Services. You can see a clinician with Catholic Charities’ insurance for $25. You will need to bring your insurance card, so they can turn in the claim for you. If you are not local, teletherapy may be an option. St. Raphael: 720-377-1359 or https://straphaelcounseling.com/
403(b) Retirement Plan. The Agency offers a 403(b) retirement plan. All employees are eligible to begin contributing immediately upon hire, and can contribute up to an annual maximum determined by the IRS (indexed annually). The plan offers a variety of funds through Voya Financial. After one year of employment and working 1000 hours, Catholic Charities will automatically contribute 4% of your pay. This contribution vests over 5 years. Additionally Catholic Charities will match 50% of the first 4% of an employee’s contribution (up to a maximum of 2%). This contribution is 100% vested after 3 years. Employees can rollover funds from other 403(b) or 401(k) accounts. Voya Financial: 1-800-584-6001 or www.voyaretirementplans.com. Our retirement plan is taken out pre-tax or post-tax (Roth).
Voluntary Life Insurance. Employees can sign up for additional life insurance through Sun Life up to $500,000 for employee ($250,000 is guarantee issue), up to $50,000 for spouse and up to $10,000 per child. This benefit is paid 100% by the employee. Voluntary insurance for critical illness/accident through Sun Life (100% employee paid). This benefit is paid 100% by the employee. Voluntary coverages are deducted from paychecks post tax.
Paid Time Off. Employees who are regularly scheduled 20+ hours accrue paid time off into Paid Annual Leave (PAL) and Extended Illness Bank (EIB). Accrual rates are dependent upon regularly scheduled hours beginning the first full pay period worked. PAL is used for vacation and the first three days of an illness. PAL is accrued at a rate of 4 weeks for the first year of employment, 5 weeks after 4 years of service.
Paid Holidays. Employees who are regularly scheduled 20+ hours per week will be paid for 15 Agency-designated holidays. Paid Holidays are pro-rated based on regular hours worked.
