EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Catholic Charities' Early Childhood Education operates five Head Start and Early Head Start programs across Denver and serves hundreds of children daily with educational, physical, emotional and psychological support. We serve a significant number of children whose families are experiencing homelessness - as well as children in foster care - providing early care and education programs that are lifelines for Colorado families.
We provide more than 600 mental health consultation hours annually for families and connect them with housing, emergency assistance and other important resources. Because of rising food costs and inflationary pressures, our families face significant food insecurity. That makes the 60,000+ meals we provide annually to our early childhood education students and their families critically important.
